Most courses contain one or more assignments. These can be called different things e.g. 'Submit your work', 'Painting challenge' etc.
Assignment instructions will be available either in writing or through a recorded video.
Regardless of the name, all assignments will have a box where you can upload work to submit to your tutor. While it is only possible to upload a single file to assignments it is possible to bundle multiple files together in different ways.
When you submit via an assignment, only your tutor and website administrators can see that assignment. It is not available for other students to see. Based on your submission, your tutor will respond with an assessment either in writing or through a reaction video. You will receive this feedback to your email.
Please note, depending on demand it may take more or less time for your tutor to respond to you. Feedback will typically come within 2 days of the assignment being submitted. If it is likely to take longer, we will endevour to inform you. After you have submitted work for an assignment a status as follows:
- 'Under Review' - the assignment has been recieved and will be reviewed by the tutor who will respond typically within 2 days
- 'Approved' - the assignment has been reviewed and the tutor's feedback has been sent by email
- 'Follow Up' - the same as 'Approved' with the difference that the tutor is inviting to make another submission for additional feedback
It is not possible to upload another submission while an assignment is 'Under Review'. Likewise, once an assignment is marked as 'Approved' it is not possible to redo the assignment and upload a new submission. Assignments that are marked for 'Follow Up' allow members to upload a second submission for follow up feedback from the tutor.
