Introduction
The assignment feature can be found in the Course Player for the current term under the section 'Interactive Class' as shown below in figure 1.
Figure 1 - Assignment feature
You can use this feature each week to submit up to 3 images (max 10MB in size) as well as notes and any questions you may have with your work.
Uploading images
The assignment feature has the option to upload up to 3 images of your work. This is design to allow you the possibility of submitting photos of different stages of your work.
While we recommend, using a larger screen such as a laptop/desktop or iPad when going over course material each week, because you are likely to use a smartphone to photograph your work, we recommend uploading your assignment on your phone device. You can do this by:
- opening the Big Look website on your smartphone https://www.biglook.art/
- Logging in if you are not already logged in (tip when logging in, it's a good idea to tick the 'remember me' checkbox, so that you don't have to login each time you use the website
- Navigate to the course assignment page
- You should now be able to browse your photos and upload them directly in the assignment
Common questions
Where will details for the assignments be posted?
Details for assignments as well as any reference photos will be posted with the lesson material each week.
Can I submit work that is not based on the assignments provided?
Dave will prioritise providing feedback on submissions based on lesson assignments over submissions of work that is outside of the scope of the term material. Based on time and availability, Dave may also respond to a certain number of submissions which are not specifically based on the assignments provided, as long as they have overall relevance to the course.
How will I get feedback?
If you join the weekly live sessions and are happy to receive live feedback, Dave will give you feedback in these calls. The recording of this session will be made available to the group each week, so you will have the option to look back over this feedback.
If you cannot join the weekly live session, Dave should respond to you in writing or with a short recorded video clip.
If you are expecting feedback but not getting it, please reach out with a support ticket and we will be in touch with you.
Can I submit assignments in the previous terms?
All members of the Interactive Class, will have access to the course material of previous terms. You are free to browse all lessons and follow these in your own time. Please note, the assignment feature is only available for current active term of the Interactive Class.
